PC not ready for Windows 11: how to enable TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot
Many PCs fail the check only because these options are off in the BIOS.
What Windows 11 checks
TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, a supported processor, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of storage.
Step 1: see what is wrong
Run PC Health Check. Press Win+R and type tpm.msc to see the TPM version.
Step 2: turn on TPM
Restart into BIOS. Look for fTPM on AMD or PTT on Intel, in Security or Advanced.
Step 3: turn on Secure Boot
The disk must use GPT and UEFI mode. Enable Secure Boot in the Boot section.
If the processor is not supported
Read Windows 11 on an unsupported PC or stay with a Windows 10 licence.
Will this erase my data?
No. Changing these options does not touch your files, but converting a disk to GPT needs care.
