How to upgrade Windows 10 to Windows 11

If your PC qualifies, the upgrade is free and keeps your files.

Check first

  • PC Health Check says the PC is compatible.
  • Windows 10 is activated.
  • Important files are backed up.

Way 1: Windows Update

If offered, click Download and install.

Way 2: Installation Assistant

Run the tool from the Microsoft site.

Way 3: clean install from USB

What happens to the licence

It moves to the same edition.

If you do not like it

You can return within 10 days in Recovery settings.

Do I need a new key?

Not if Windows 10 is activated with the same edition.
