How to buy digital keys safely: a buyer’s checklist

A low price does not mean a key is bad, but the seller’s behaviour tells you a lot.

Check the seller

  • Contact details and a working support address.
  • A published refund policy.
  • A clear description of edition and licence type.

Check the product

  • Is it OEM or Retail?
  • Which edition, for how many PCs?
  • Does it activate online in the normal way?

Payment and delivery

Use a card or wallet with a secure page. Delivery by email is normal.

Warning signs

  • A request to run an activator or to change your system clock.
  • Remote access by a stranger.
  • Keys from chats, with no receipt.

After you receive the key

Activate within the return period and save the order email.

Is it better to pay by card?

A card or wallet gives you more protection than a direct transfer.
